Love Locks

Sweethearts lock a padlock on the railing of a bridge and throw away the key to the river as a symbol of their eternal love and commitment. Couples also have their names  engraved on the lock in a way to seal their love for each other. This ritual is said to be originated in Japan  and has now become increasingly popular in many European cities. Who said romantic gestures are something from the past?
