Sweethearts lock a padlock on the railing of a bridge and throw away the key to the river as a symbol of their eternal love and commitment. Couples also have their names engraved on the lock in a way to seal their love for each other. Today I visited Neumeister, an Auction house presenting to the public a collection of vintage fashion to be auctioned this July 18th. Amazing pieces from renowed fashion houses like Chanel,Pucci, Helmut Lang, Hermès, YSL, etc.. Evening and day dresses, coats and blouses, shoes and bags, scarves and jewellry from different decades of the 20th century. There was a particular piece that catched my eye and I couldn't resist trying on. This beautiful Chanel (nº 50 on the catalogue) dress in wool/silk with a contrasting application of degradé pailletes in front.If I manage to get it I will let you know!

Walking on water
Interactive visual display system used for advertisement at Kaufinger Tor.
Stepping on the floor projection of the swimming pool creates the effect of waves on the water. This advertisement system seems very effective at catching one's attention making people stop for a while,watch and play.

The Fünf Höfe opened in 2003 and is considered one of the most stylish Munich's shopping spots, located right in the city heart. The Fünf Höfe is literally an area of five connected courtyards. Every section has its own character. The inner walls are made of steel and glass whereas the façade walls mantain the original 19th century stone. In one area there are real giant ivy plants - over 10 meters long - hanging from the ceiling among the lamps.
There also art works such as Sphere 2003 is a sculpture by artist Olafur Eliasson. The sculpture is a huge ball suspended above the center of the courtyard. It is made of a dense network of highly polished stainless steel strips, layered in a spiral. Its smooth surface reflects the day light making the ball changes color slightly according to the weather and time of day.
